Prenatal Education

Expectant parents and support persons are encouraged to start prenatal education as early as possible in their pregnancy.

Our free Prenatal Education Series consists of:

  • A set of three in-person sessions covering preparation for parenting, breastfeeding, and labour and birth. Sessions include demonstrations, hands-on skills practice, and time for questions.
    • Visit our 2017 schedule of upcoming in-person sessions.
    • While every effort is made to provide a tour of the QHC maternity floor, labour and birth is unpredictable and tours are provided based on availability of QHC staff.

Classes are offered in partnership with the Ontario Early Years Centres, the Prince Edward Family Health Team, and Quinte Health Care.

To register for the e-learning program and/or the in-person sessions register online or call 613-966-5500 or 1-800-267-2803, ext. 675.
