Service Disruption Notice

Staff at Hastings Prince Edward Public Health (HPEPH) who are represented by CUPE Local 3314 are exercising their legal right to strike effective Friday, September 22. The nursing staff at HPEPH, who are represented by the Ontario Nurses’ Association Local 31, are also on strike.
Due to the labour disruption, HPEPH offices in Picton, Quinte West, and Bancroft are closed. The Belleville office is closed, except for select services for pickup or by appointment only as indicated in the Service Disruption Notice. Visitors to HPEPH offices should be prepared to be delayed by a picket line. The patience and understanding of the community are appreciated.

The health and well-being of our community is our top priority. Certain critical services will continue throughout the duration of work stoppage to ensure public safety. Some services will be temporarily interrupted or offered in an alternate manner. Please refer to the Service Disruption Notice.

COVID-19 vaccines in HPE

Eligible individuals can receive their vaccination at many participating local pharmacies by contacting the pharmacy directly. Please visit covid-19.ontario.ca/vaccine-locations for location and registration information.

Appointments for COVID-19 vaccination are available through the provincial booking site or by calling the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1-833-943-3900 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding holidays).

Vaccine orders for routine immunizations and STI medications continue to be available through HPEPH by using our vaccine order forms; however, please note that our vaccine delivery/pickup procedure has changed.
