Increasing Resilience in Children Ages 0-12 Years: An Evidence Summary

Throughout the early years, healthy social and emotional development paves the path for positive mental health and resilience later in life.  Resilience is the capacity to positively respond or adapt to, learn, and grow when confronted with change, challenging life circumstances, and setbacks, while minimizing or avoiding the damaging effects of those events. This evidence summary of published literature completed in September 2017 reviews interventions to build or increase resilience in children, ages 0-12.
